Mark Narum, Bishop |
| Mark Narum serves our synod as Bishop. He lives in Stanley and is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. His vision is to help congregations see and then claim the ministry God has set before them. Mark graduated from Garrison High School, Minot State University and Wartburg Theological Seminary. He is married to Jan Narum and they have three sons Chris, Brandon, and Tyler. | |

Jan Zook, Assistant to the Bishop |
| Jan Zook serves our synod as Assistant to the Bishop. She lives in Bowbells and is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Jan joined the Synod Staff in August, 2000. Prior she served as the first synodical president for the Women of the ELCA. Areas of responsibilities include: GIFTS Coordinator, staff to Synod Congregational Life Team, Discipleship Team and Outreach Team, Synod Assembly Manager, and liaison to the WND Synodical Women of the ELCA. Jan is married to Robert Zook and they have two daughters, Tanya and Kaia. They also have two grandchildren, Madelyn and Amby. |

Lisa Ahlness, Assistant to the Bishop |
| Lisa Ahlness serves our Synod as Assistant to the Bishop. She lives in Bismarck and is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Driscoll, which she serves as Pastor. Lisa has been a pastor in WND Synod for the last 18 years, and joined the Synod staff in March 2009. Areas of responsibility include staff to Reference & Counsel Committee of the Synod Council and working with congregations in the call process, particularly in the southern half of the Synod. Lisa is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead and Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She is married to VanVechten Crane, pastor of the Sims-Almont Lutheran parish. They have five children: Zac, Jeremy, Carly, Amy and Joel, and three grandchildren. | |

Monroe Madson, Financial Administrator |
| Monroe Madson serves our synod as the Financial Administrator. He lives in Bismarck and is a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church. He worked for the Bismarck Tribune for 26 years before joining the staff of the WND Synod seven years ago, as Financial Administrator. Areas of responsibility include: distributing finances that are sent to the Synod Office, monthly and yearly reports for the ELCA, WND Synod, and WND Congregations, and sending out WND bulk mailings. Monroe has been married to his wife Nancy Madson for 39 years. They have three grown children, Gina, Jason and Eric; and two grandchildren Jonathan and Jade. | |

Beth Anderson, Synod Ministry Coordinator |
| Beth Anderson serves as the Synod Ministry Coordinator. Beth lives in Bismarck and is a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She joined the synod staff in February, 2009. As synod ministry coordinator, Beth keeps an overview of ministry initiatives in our synod and is available to answer questions about our ministry together. Other areas of responsibility include: communications, LYO, candidacy, and call process. Beth is a diaconal minister and a graduate of Augustana College and Luther Seminary. Prior to joining the staff, Beth served at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. She is married to Dallas Anderson and they have two daughters. | |
