Growing In Faith To Serve
Growing In Faith To Serve (GIFTS) is a community of believers. The GIFTS program is an innovative approach to leadership for mission in the ELCA. Participants are lay people from western North Dakota who have made a decision to seek out opportunities to develop as Christians. The GIFTS purpose is to equip lay people for mission within the church and society . It is not to "finish" a class but to participate in an ongoing education for growing in faith to serve. GIFTS provides opportunities to develop a mentor relationship with a pastor and to discern and utilize our God given gifts. GIFTS members are encouraged to attend at least three training events each year on a variety of topics from the Old and New Testament of the Bible, Lutheran Theology, Leadership, Evangelism, and Discipleship.
