We will be welcoming Lloyd Garrelts as our guest musician and speaker. Singer and songwriter Lloyd Garrelts has toured extensively with Echelon, Peder Eide, and Jonathan Rundman, as well as shared the stage with Switchfoot, Newsboys, Third Day, Lost and Found, Beki Hemingway, Audio Adrenaline and many other top musical acts. Lloyd’s music reflects experiences and observations about faith and life from his Midwest Christian perspective.

INKIND OFFERING:
Quilts & Kits for Camp Noah
The Western North Dakota Synod is working to bring Camp Noah to North Dakota during the spring/summer of 2012 to serve young people affected by this summer’s flooding along the Souris and Missouri Rivers. Camp Noah, a part of Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, is a 5-day camp experience which offers a safe, caring and fun environment with curriculum specifically designed to help children heal by processing their disaster experience. Each young person attending Camp Noah receives a quilt and an art kit. Each kit provides a child with artwork and tools to process the disaster and create lasting memories of Camp Noah. For our in-kind offering each congregation is invited to bring 1-2 quilts and/or items for art kits.
The following items are needed for each kit:
- 8 Pack of washable markers
- 24 pack of crayons
- Pencil, eraser + pencil sharpener
- Pack of watercolor paints
- Container of play-doh
- Gluestick
- youth-sized scissors
SERVICE PROJECT:
Flood Recovery Projects. The exact nature of our servant project is yet to be determined. Coordinators are working with Lutheran Disaster Response and agencies in Minot area to identify how our group can best assist come October, but a this point it is too early in the recovery process to know exact service projects. We will contact adult advisors after registration with more details.
Action Tracks
A variety of exciting Action Tracks are being planned including the return of Zumba and Drums Alive! As well as sessions with Bishop Mark Narum, staff from our Bible Camps and more!
